Stable Diffusion detector
Was this image made with Stable Diffusion? Check it free with Checkobot, see where detection can miss, and find our catch rate here once it's measured.
Checko doesn’t name the generator. It tells you whether an image shows signs of AI. We're measuring how often that catches Stable Diffusion images, and will publish the rate here with the date we measured it.

How well we catch Stable Diffusion
Measurement pending. We publish a catch rate here only after testing on a fresh set of Stable Diffusion images, with the date we measured it.
About Stable Diffusion
Stable Diffusion is a family of open-weight image models from Stability AI, first released in 2022. Anyone can download and run them, so they sit behind countless apps, websites and home setups.
- People fine-tune Stable Diffusion for particular styles, faces and subjects, so its images vary more than those from a single app.
- A lot of Stable Diffusion output is stylised art or anime. Drawn faces can trip the face analysis, so treat a face-analysis flag on an illustration with care.
Where it can miss
- New versions of Stable Diffusion can look different from older ones, and detectors can take time to catch up.
- Heavy edits, upscaling or filters after the image was made can hide the traces detectors look for.
- Screenshots and re-shared copies add compression. Very small or heavily compressed images are refused rather than guessed at.
Getting a good check
- Find the largest, earliest copy of the image you can. A reverse image search often turns it up.
- Check the original file rather than a screenshot of it.
- If there’s a face, make sure it’s at least 64 pixels across so the face analysis can run.
Questions
Can Checkobot detect Stable Diffusion images?
We're measuring it now. This page will show our catch rate on a fresh set of Stable Diffusion images, with the date we measured it.
Will Checko tell me the image was made with Stable Diffusion?
No. Checko tells you whether an image shows signs of AI generation or editing, not which tool made it. Once measured, this page will show how often that catches Stable Diffusion images.
Is it free?
Yes. You can check 3 images a day without signing up, or 10 a day with a free account.
