Terms of use
Checkobot is provided by SpoofSense. By using the website or the API you agree to these terms.
Verdicts are signals, not proof
A verdict is a probabilistic signal from two detection models, each with known error rates. It is not proof that an image is or isn't AI-generated or edited. Don't use a verdict on its own to accuse anyone, make legal, employment or financial decisions, or publish claims about a person.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Checkobot to harass, threaten or shame anyone.
- Don't use it to identify, track or profile private individuals.
- Don't upload sexual content involving minors. We report it to the authorities as the law requires.
- Don't try to reverse-engineer the models, probe them at scale to find blind spots, or get around rate limits and quotas.
- Only upload images you have the right to use.
Your content
Images are processed to produce a verdict. Free and anonymous checks don't store them; paid plans keep checked images in your history as described in the privacy notice. We keep a fingerprint of each file and the result.
Accounts, API keys and plans
Keep your API keys secret; you are responsible for calls made with them. Paid plans renew until cancelled. Checks beyond an API plan's monthly allowance are billed at the listed overage rate. Payment terms are shown at checkout. Paid plans are sold through Paddle, our merchant of record; refunds follow our refund policy.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Checkobot available but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, SpoofSense isn't liable for decisions made using a verdict.
Changes and contact
We'll post changes to these terms on this page. Questions: legal@checkobot.ai.
