Privacy
Last updated 5 October 2026
Checkobot is made by SpoofSense. Right now the only thing this site does is take sign-ups for the private beta. This page covers that. We will publish a full privacy notice before the checker opens.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address, to send your beta invite and beta updates. Nothing else.
- What you do (“I am a…”) and, if you fill it in, what you would check first. We use these to decide who to invite first and what to build.
- How you found us: the campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and the referring page, if your browser sends one.
- A salted hash of your IP address, to stop one network from flooding the list. We never store your raw IP address, and the hash can’t be turned back into it without a secret key we keep private.
What we don’t collect
No images. The waitlist doesn’t take uploads, and when the checker opens it will not store your images by default.
Who else handles it
Sign-ups are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase, and the site is hosted by Vercel. We may use Google Analytics to count page visits. We don’t sell or share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep your sign-up until the beta ends or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email privacy@checkobot.ai.
